Locavores deride it because it's farmed in large, industrial pens and fed industrial soy meal. Nutritionists shun it because it lacks the abundant omega 3 fatty acids with which they've come to associate fish. A study conducted at Wake Forest University (North Carolina) in 2008 seems to justify, as it was found that Tilapia contains more omega 6 than omega 3.
